NY Divorce - Submitting Notice of Entry

I filed an uncontested no-fault DIY divorce in NY and received Judgment of Divorce last week. When I tried to file the Notice of Entry, the clerk said I needed to bring proof of serving the Judgment to my ex. This contradicts what I have been able to discern from searches. The clerk would not detail what constituted "proof"

Could you please help me list the steps/procedures for correctly filing Notice of Entry. I am in NY county in NY state.
