In between our property and our neighbor's property are two vacant lots that we've both maintained since we moved in 9 years ago (the taxes always have always been paid by the neighbor).
The original owner died in 1979 (deed's still in his name) and over the years I have made several attempts to locate any heirs to no avail. Can we and our neighbor claim these lots under NY's new adverse possession laws?
