Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Ohio Caught, Civil Demand Letter, Police Called, No Report

Hey everyone, I was caught shoplifting at Store A (Under $50), was stopped by LPO and taken to backroom

I cooperated gave back the items and they took my information and picture. They called the Police and they came, but issued no citation.

I was given a Civil Demand Letter on the spot and I paid it the next day via Mail. My questions are:

1. Although the Police were called, they issued no citation, can they issue one in the mail later?
2. I checked online for my police report (Ohio can search prelim reports) and found none...can they still file the report later...?
3. After I paid the civil demand notice, is it possible for Store A to still file charges?

Again, there is no police report online for my crime and this was my first offense. I cooperated and was let go and the police didn't do anything except run a warrant check.

Any chance I can receive a court summons in the mail even without a police report?

Yes they can

they hav euntil statute of limitations runs out to do so

that isnt very likely. Keep in mind the store can file a Police report anytime within the statute of limitations
