Patent Old technologies in new patents?

Hi,

Is it possible to patent an invention if it uses the same technology or process specified in a previously filed patent/already exists? In other words, what is the procedure for filing a patent for an improvement/modification to an existing invention?

Your best bet might be to speak with a patent attorney though you can hold & see if you get other replies.
