I met a girl on a gaming web site. She's 14 and I am 19. We started to talk to each other more and more then after that she started liking me a lot and next thing you know, we started online dating. We've been online "Dating" for a month now

Honestly, I know this is wrong and I am trying to decide what should I do.

I was thinking about breaking up but she does want to and I sorta don't as well.

What we do when we chat is nothing sexual and never will be.

We mostly just ask each other how are we doing and just normal things such as what movies we like, hobbies, future, etc.

I told her I'd wait for her to turn 18, which is the year of 2017, so I can meet her.

We are both feeling a bit uncomfortable now. I was thinking about talking with her parents like asking them if it's ok if we can date but of course none of those sexual/cruel things. If her parents don't approve, I will leave her alone but if they do, is it a bit legal?

Before I came here, I looked this situations up.

Some says break up but...

I have seen many saying that "the law cannot intrude if there is nothing sexual and if her parents approve." Something similar...

I'm confused a bit.

Right now I am trying to decide because I know it's wrong.

Well my best way to conclude this is should I leave her or talk to her parents, discuss about it, and wait to the year of 2017?
I also don't see how this is online dating but it seems more like we are becoming closer each time we talk about things going through our days.

She said she would wait and I would to but I want opinions and options of others as well.

If the only option is to leave, I will do it and tell her to forget about me.

Thank you.

What is wrong with you that at the age of 19 you are finding equal companionship in a 14 year old?

Get yourself into therapy to find out why you, a legal adult, are interested in a barely pubescent child, find a woman your own age, and leave the little girl alone.

Thank you for the reply.

I did not intend to "Finding equal companionship with a 14 yearoldl" I guess I was to desperate to find love that I lost myself there.

Again, thank you for the reply, I will leave her alone now.

You're way too old for a 14 year old. Please do stop all contact with her immediately - you can only cause trouble for yourself.

Just so you know OP, some 14 year old girls are 44 year old police officers or federal agents.

If you've gone too far, that knock on your door could be an arrest squad to take you to a local jail.

It's never okay to involve yourself with children.

Some children are undercover police detectives.

The Internet is a very unsafe place, protect yourself.
