Assault & Battery Out of Control Car Incident

I was helping a friend get away from an abusive partner and as i was driving away the partner grabbed my car door mirror and was holding on running with the car. This person fell and got road rash. Can i be charged with anything? The police were called and i was pulled over. The officer did not arrest me. Was not issued a ticket. My friend told me today that the DA was wanting to press charges against me.

You can wait & see if charges are pressed against you & if so, contact an attorney......or you can talk to an attorney at this time & see what he/she thinks might happen & what to do.

How did your friend hear that the DA was wanting to press charges?

If it truly happened as you say then it its a bunch of nothing. I suspect the person who was injured has a different version of the story though.

So long as there was no reckless driving on your part, and he on his own free will grabbed your moving vehicle. I must agree with mightymoose sounds like hog wash.
