My husband and I moved to Singapore on August 1st, and he told me 2 weeks later that he didn't want to be married anymore, and does not want counseling. I am leaving Singapore on September 3rd. We have been married for 25 years. Will my leaving be construed as abandonment? He has promised that he will not screw me over, but I never anticipated that he would drag me all the way to Singapore and then decide we were done.

It probably depends on where you plan to file for divorce, but generally no. If you are moving back to the state/county you left to move to Singapore, hopefully the residency requirement to file for divorce can be waived since you were only gone for a month. Get yourself a lawyer as soon as you're settled, and good luck.
