paid my rent early got a notice?

I paid my rent for March on 02/27, On march 7th a notice was posted on my door staing that I had 3days to pay the rent? Called my landlord immediately and was advised that the notice was incorrect. I have all my reciepts but am concerned should there be something else I should have done

Nope. People make mistakes. You handled it the simplest way.
Just make sure that they don't leave a negative mark on whatever records they might have of your payment history.
So long as you have proof of payment such as a receipt or a copy of the deposited check then you are covered

I asked for something from the landlord but he stated it was not necessary?

If the landlord said the notice was incorrect then dont worry. If you have proof then hold on to it and dont worry.

If you want one, get a receipt for payment with a date that indicates your payment was received on time.
