I was wondering if a minor wanted to leave their parent to move 12 days before their 18th birthday, is any repercussions for that minor? It is a out of state move, but the only alternative is to go with the parent to another city until their 18th birthday.

The easiest solution is to allow the 12 days to pass.
It'll go by very quickly.
You might change your mind.
If you don't, when you're 18 you can just walk away.
This isn't a battle worth fighting.

Until the minor is 18, they are subject to their parents' rules. On his or her 18th birthday, the new young adult is free to take the clothes on their back and whatever mom and dad will allow them to take and be on their way.
