In the Hamilton County Ohio Standard Parenting Order, Misc Section F, states In the event the parents are unable to reach an agreement regarding transportation____________ shall provide transportation at commencemnt of the Period and __________shall provide transportion at terminatin.

In this reading. . . does this statement only apply to parents who live in the same city? The father lives in Indiana( my son) . . . does the mother have to share transportion? She is telling us her lawyer said NO she does not.

If she refuses, you'll have to take it before a judge to get a ruling and an order. She might just be right about this. An Ohio judge may have a hard time forcing an Indiana resident to obey his/her order.

If you have a lawyer, consult him/her. If you don't have a lawyer, I suggest you retain one. It's the only way you might have some success with this.

perhaps I didnt ask my question clearly. I just want to know, does the transportion guedleines only apply to parents who live in the same city. We do have a lawyer, but he has been out the past 4 days, I just wanted to run it past your team to see if anyone "knew" the answer.

The instructions apply as long as someone wishes to comply. Apparently, she no longer wants to play nice. Her counsel is advising her not to comply. Therefore, if she is to do as the instructions state, it seems she wants a judge to order her to obey. I'm guessing, because all I know is that for some reason she's balking!!!

Thank you. Our Lawyer said yes, this did apply to parents even out of state but I have nothing in writing and i find nothing on the Dept of Domstic Relations Web site that states either way. I will await our lawyers return to the office and hope for the best. thank you again.
