Can an employer force their employees to stick a large sticker on their car ? I work at a Hospital which does not have any secured or designated parking for employees, yet they want us to distinguish our vehicles by sticking a large white sticker on the rear windshield which has the hospital name on it.
First of all, I cherish my vehicle, I work very hard to drive the vehicle I drive and do not stick stickers on my car. If they had a hanging permit or a window cling, I would have no problem.
The other morning I left work and when I went to get in my car, I noticed someone put a sticker on my car without my permission. I am infuriated, but I don't know what to do from here. They threatened to tow my vehicle if I do not have a hospital sticker on my vehicle. Is this legal ??

I work in the ER and do not want my BMW flagged as an employee vehicle for fear that an angry patient could take their frustration out on my car.

If you want to use your employer's parking, you must follow their rules. If their rules say you have to have a sticker to park there, then you must have a sticker to park there.

Yes, it is legal for them to tow your car if you do not have the appropriate parking permit (i.e. the sticker).

Any hospital I've ever worked for before had a secured parking area for employees for which a parking sticker or permit was required. This is an unsecured area mixed in with any visitor that comes to the hospital.

What other hospitals have done is not binding on this one. Your current employer is not violating any laws and your choices are to put up with it or find yourself an employer with policies more to your liking.
