If a person is charged w/ Indecency w/a child but found guilty of a lesser included charge of class c mis. assault, what gives the state the right to put that person on a sex offender caseload when they should be on a regular caseload for UUMV conviction.

What statute number in what state were you convicted under?

Thanks for getting back to me. The statute number is 22.01 in the texas penal code.
