Paternity test

How do I force my ex to take my supposed son to get a paternity test done? I've gone and done mine but she says she'll only take him with a court order which leads me to believe that he's not mine. Do I have to get a lawyer to get a court order or how do I go about it. I'm in TX.

How old is the child? why didn;'t you dispute paternity earlier on or when you split up? You may not be able to do anything now. It sounds like you are the legal dad if you signed the birth paperwork or were married to her. You'll have to contact an attorney to see what the timeframe is for disputing paternity.
