Payday loan issues!

I got a payday loan a couple of weeks ago and thought they had taken the money that I owed them out on my last pay check. But this mourning I got a call from an attorney's office stating that I had breached my contract with Sandpoint Capital and they weren't able to extract the funds on the day I agreed to. They stated that my bank said there was insufficient funds in my account. But I have a statement from my bank that says on the day in question, the money was there to be extracted but they were just rejected.

The attorney's office wants me to pay them a settlement of $280 my next payday or I'll owe them $350. That doesn't sound right to me and it's not my fault that they couldn't extract the funds that were clearly in my account at that time! What should I do?

Pay them the money that was supposed to be taken out of your account and not a dime more. Good luck.

Did you have other pending transactions that tied that money up that was in the bank? There are a number of reasons why the bank could legitimately refuse the transaction.

I agree with the above though. The sooner you pay the money you owe, and that they clearly did not receive, the less trouble you will have with this. Don't pay their silly fees. Just pay the amount you owe.
