paying deceased's debts

Where can I get information about MN laws regarding paying debts of my dead brother? He did not have much more than an old car to his name. what do we as his family (parents and siblings) do? He has no wife, but a child he has been paying the state for back child support.

You do not have to use your money to pay someone else's debt.

The creditors will harass you for about three or four years until they finally realize that they will get nothing.

Don't talk to the bill collectors and certainly do not give them your address or phone number or edress.
