Payment to Leave Valuable Apartment

My apartment is rent stablized in a building which has gone co-op.
How would I go about seeking funds to leave the apartment which will then become a high cost co-op for the building owner. I have heard of these situations being successfully negotiated.

You mean, "how can I extort money out of people so that they can get me to leave my welfare rate apartment so that it can be rented out for market rate?" Just leave the apartment if you don't need it and stop trying to commit a crime by extorting money out of people who own it.
