This is an unusual situation. My wife & I were sales reps for a company, having worked there and run the company for three years. It is a Florida corp and located in state. The company was experiencing financial difficulty that we thought salvagable, but out of nowhere, the company owners decided to pull the plug.
In the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago, they arrived in town, changed the locks and won't give us a key. We have three years worth of personal possessions (furniture, software, hardware, etc.) under lockdown.
Since this isn't really a landlord/tenant dispute, do we have legal recourse to recover property. Our former "partners" are being uncooperative, not answering phone or emails.
Thanks
