I'm not sure if this is the right space for this question but here goes. My boyfriend moved out the beginning of the month at my request but refuses to come and get his belongings. How long do I have to keep his stuff boxed up in my house? I live in NY and he isn't on the lease in case it makes a difference.

Write him a certified mail, return receipt requested and bill him $1000 per month for keeping his stuff.
