If I was summoned a PTR , will I get sentenced on my 1st court date for the PTR?
No, this is what normally happens:
You are allowed to ADMIT or DENY, as to the allegations in the petition.
You DENY, you can ask for a public defender.
Then you get a hearing date set, eventually.
Normally, you might have 30-60 days before your hearing is set.
YMMV
Look, if you don't want prison time, fix the mess you've created.
Play their game outside, or be forced to play their game inside one of their stalags or gulags.
I know what I'd choose.
Read what my friend, a Cook County attorney has to say about these MTR hearings.

Talk to a couple lawyers in your county.
The first meeting is often FREE.
Educate yourself, and get bus mending fences, or get ready for prison.
