Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Petty larceny

My daughter was caught with her boyfriend trying to take several movies from (dept. store). they were arrested and charged with petty larceny. We can not afford and attorney and her cout case is tomorrow morning. I have been told she need to plead no contest...is this correct? She also just finished drug treatment and is currently going to out patient everyday from 9-3 should she mention this? Any advise would be helpful

How old is your daughter - is she a minor?

She needs to plead not guilty. When she goes to court, she needs to ask the court if they will appoint her a lawyer because she/you cannot afford one. She should then talk to no one but her lawyer. Her lawyer will go over her options with her & get her the best outcome possible.
