I was recently fired from my job in MN for internal theft. The total amount was about $67.00. This is my first time offense, and I already paid the amount of what I took. My court date is coming up and I was wondering what I should do, and expect once I get in there? I already admitted to the police officer I was guilty, which is what I intend to plead once I get to court. I was also wondering if they were going to show the tapes of me doing it. Also wondering if there is a way to get it taken off my record. I am 19 years old and scared out of my mind. Please help me!!!

Its a little late to be scared now. You aren't going to prison though so you can chill out a bit. In most states there is a first offender program. Get a court appointed lawyer if you can't afford one and get into the first offender diversion program. If you complete the probation they usually dismiss or seal the conviction. It's a one time shot. If you ever do anything at all again, you will not get to go into this program again. Then you can be scared out of your mind. This time you are going to get a second chance. Learn your lesson and you will be ok. Good luck.
