My court date is on November 5, for a petty theft charge.
How do I say I want to plea bargain and be considered for deferred judgement program. I just dont want a misdemeanor mark in my records.
This is my first offense, no crime history ever. i already paid the civil charges to the store and enrolled myself to counseling and psychiatric help.
I had a free phone consultation with the lawyer and he said first petty theft offense is most likely given a chance with minimal sentence and no jail time by the judge.
I just dont know how to say my piece when I'm actually there on the day itself.
I also enrolled myself to the NASP program and in still going thru the course.
I need some input and advise on how or what to expect to the court date.
Will I be finger printed also.
