Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft petty theft

I am being charged with petty theft. I have my receipt for the items in my purse the store security who was very rude, intimidating, did not want to here that i had a receipt for the items demanded that i dump everything out of my purse including personal items, accused me of using drugs becuase he saw a pen that he thought resembled a serynge (which by the way was a pen from my church with name on it) called me an addict how nice it must be to do drugs and steal from stores, was high on his quota told me i had to sign this paper never said what it was, gloatting with other employees im 2 for 2 high five slapping each others hands took everything out of my pockets called police i ws arrested possession chrg serynge. I have never been in trouble in my life!! i have never used drugs much less injecting . he says he saw me putting itiems in my purse . i was retrieving my cell phone to answer it. i still have my receipt .i go to court 2 weeks public defender requested any video they may have . I think this security has violated my rights in some way. I have shopped at this walmart for 20yrs. any advice??

Much of what you say makes no sense. If you stole nothing then they have no evidence? If the alledge syringe was a pen they (The Police) would have seen that. It sounds as if you have already spoken to Public Defender as he has requested video. Best you can do (once this is over) is contact store manager or main office and request compensation. they will likely grant you this in the form of a gift card.
