The other day I got caught with my friend at place because they alleged I was stealing clothes worth 118 dollars

I'm 18 I have a court day in three weeks . What should I expect ?

Plead not guilty, admit to nothing, ask the court to appoint a lawyer, meet with the lawyer, discuss possible outcomes with the lawyer.

If you do as instructed, very little will happen to you.
