Phone company took my $200

ok so i paid $200 for a security deposit about a month ago but then i asked for a refund, so they told me to call thier customer service and i did and the person told me that i will get a check in 3 weeks for $200

so now almost a month has passed and nothing in the mail, so i called the customer service again and asked them why my money hasn't come yet, and they told me that they have no record of me paying $200 and they certainly don't have a cheque on the way for $200.

so i asked them then how come i have a reciept and bank statement saying that i'm out $200 and they say they have no idea.

so they told me to go to the store and ask them how come there's no record of me paying $200, which i will be doing tommorrow.

so any advice on how i can get my $200 because i am seriously out $200 and just want my money back
 
well so far i've only talked to them on the phone about this but i am going to the store tommorrow with the reciept and my bank statement and find out what exactly is going on.

i just thought i ask her to get info from knowledgeable people, because right now i am just worried that they are not going to give me money back based on what i've heard from them over the phone.

because how come they dont' have a record while i have a reciept and a bank statement stating that they took my money.

Because occasionally people make mistakes.

Last month my cell phone provider had a software crash and lost the record of my payment. I provided them with a copy of my bank statement showing the payment and that was all they needed.
 
ok well i'll talk to them tommorrow and see what's up and keep people updated here because right now i'm not a happy person
