I had mistakenly emailed some risque photos of myself that I took on my phone to my boyfriend; however, I typed his email address incorrectly, but it ended up still being a real email address that belongs to a complete stranger. This individual replied stating that he plans to put the photos on an adult website. The photos are not copyrighted, but he is claiming that I "voluntarily" sent them to him. Is there anything I can do? If he does post them, is he braking the law (I am over the age of 18)? Do I have any standing to sue?

Nope theres nothing you can do. You sent the pictures. Once pictures are posted and if you become aware of site you can contact webmaster and ask for them to be removed.

Tell him that the email address was typed incorrectly and that you explicitly did not give him authority to have the pictures. It's like mail being delivered to the wrong address and clearly is intended for another recipient. If you find the pictures online you'll hire an attorney who'll be glad to sue him - imagine the damages on the unauthorized posting of risque pictures belonging to someone else. Perhaps it will work but, to be fair, chances are that if you went that route the cost would likely be high.

Now here is another thought. You may want to do a search on ex-girlfriends who want to sue their ex-boyfriends for posting risque pictures of them which they continued to have after the breakup. Here is the latest:
