Hello. I live in Maine with my 3 year old daughter..and her father lives in texas and just served me papers trying to get full custody of her..hes never ever even changed a diaper and my daughter would be so lost without me, her mother. I wrote a letter to the judge explaining why I could not show up in court on this coming Tuesday, I need to make sure I get physical custody of her..help?

Does a custody order exist?
-----If a custody order exists, in what state was it issued?



In what state was the baby born?

Have you ever been a resident of Texas?

How long have you and baby resided in Maine?

If you and dad were not married when baby was born, there is no putative father?
Has dad ever proven his paternity by a DNA test?
