If given a 3 day notice to vacate, and the property was vacated within those 3 days. Is the entire months rent due or a prorated amount for the time lived in the home?

Three day (or five day, or seven day) notices are typically given to "Quit or Pay", i.e., when a tenant has not paid rent. They are usually the first step to a full eviction.

However, even if you leave this does not mean you don't owe rent for the entire month (or perhaps longer). This amount can be taken out of any security deposit you provided or it can be granted through a court judgement should the landlord go that route.
