Please Help I Need Advice Quick

Here is my problem. About a month ago we put in offer in on a house. They accepted immediately. We have done everything home inspection, appraisal, and surveying the land. Now we are less than a week away from closing (June 26th) and the husband and wife who own the house have been in the process of a divorce. WHich is why they were selling. THe house is in the wife's name and she has signed the contract. Now the husband wants to buy the house and his lawyer has put a hold on the sale. So then today the realtor tells me if they pull out of deal we lose all the money we have put in. How can I at least get my money back. THey have wasted the last month of our house hunting. The other house we wanted is gone now. So basically we have wasted a month and are out $1500.00 please help me.
