The reason given to me for my employment termination was "Personal Differences". To me Personal and Business communication of employment should not interfere. As long as I still maintain my office obligations and job related materials, I don't think that stopping personal communication within an office should have given them a chance to fire me from my position. I think the reason for such an wrongful excuse to me was they had my replacement which was going to start the following week; so they had to come up with some reason to terminate me. I contacted the Labor Board and what was told of me was that any employer could terminated you for any reason in the state of Virginia. Shouldn't it be some sort of restrictions on that law, they really should think of some/most of the employers who takes advantage of that law to get what they want and uses most employees because it could never come back on them as their mistake. There has to be some other government agency that could help me to understand the law and to see if there could be anyway that I could fight this. Thanks for your help! Concern in VA....
