Please Help!

My ex husband and I split amicably, deciding that we would split everything 50/50. We filled out our own forms because we didn't have much to split. I have been living in our townhome since the divorce, and he wants to sign over the house. I do not want this because if I tried selling it right now, I'd end up about 30,000 in debt by myself. Can he somehow sign over the house to me without my consent? I am the one living here and paying the mortgage each month, but our divorce papers say 50/50. We live in Denver, Colorado

If you are paying the mortgage, why are you worried about your husband doing a Quit Claim so you'll be the sole owner of the townhouse? I'd say agree to this, pay your husband his half of what the townhouse is worth (in todays market) and continue to live there, now owning the home in your own name.
