Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft please help

recently i recieved a check from an employeer and when i went to cash it, the account was closed because the company went out of business, so i then went to the employeers store and vented to another employee about the sitiuation. I than called the store manager and told him what happened he said no longer worked for the company and there was absolutely nothing he could do about it (we talked over the phone). OUT OF FUSTRATION i took the money from the draw and left my check, he later informed me he was indeed still the manager and he was going to press chargers aganist me for strong armed robbery (no violence, no video cam, just my check and one employee police statement). the deputy called me within mintues telling me to return or i will have a warrant for my arrest. i soon talked to the manager and told him i did not know it was a felony to do that so i offered to return the money in exchange for my check he told me to keep it but return all employee items and i did....... its been 4 days now and nothing has happened should i be worried?
