I need to know what the chances of me getting custody of my 3yo Nephew would be.
My sister is an alcoholic and drug user(pills) - She is has been living with her boyfriend who is also an alcoholic and drug user(pills & i think may do others). The boyfriend is who I have a problem with and think my nephew is in great danger living with him. He(the boyfriend) has hit my sisters car head on with a 1 ton truck while my nephew & sister were in the car. He has also tried to beat/break the car windows open several times. He also is mentally abusive to my sister and they fight very often in front of my nephew. He(the boyfriend) will even go as far as to take my nephews medication(mainly cough liquid)! - Last night was the breaking point for me.. Apparently my sister and him got into a fight and he was waving a GUN Around and pointing it at his head and threatening to kill himself INFRONT of my nephew!!! I have heard them fight before and he picks up things and throws them and does this infront of the child.
I feel that my sister and nephew are in danger, but she "loves" him and keeps going back to him.
I feel that my nephew needs to be removed from that situation and want to know what my chances are of getting custody of him. The bio father would have no issue with me gaining custody. - How do I go about getting custody of my nephew? Please help.
Please note: I am 25y/o with a good job/stable income, do not drink or do drugs, have a place of my own and an extra bedroom.
