All my shoplifting questions have been answered but I forgot to ask about one more, and this has been bothering me for quite a while: On the day of the inccident I was taken to the security room where I gave info like DOB, the school I go too, grade level, home address, ect. and such, but the security gaurd kept mentioning something about a detective coming. The gaurd said I could leave before any detective showed up tho. I assumed a detective was needed to see if I have shoplifted from that store before or not (which I haven't, this was my first offence.) but I was wondering if there would be any thing else that a detective would have to look up on me? Just curious.

The use of word or title "Detective" has too broad a scope to really answer. It means all kinds of things or basically nothing. How long has it been since the day you were caught and have you been to court yet?

The security gaurd used the word "detective" that way, I was confused about that and was wondering if it meant nothing aswell but was still concerned as to what they need to investigate after I gave them all my info. It's been 3 months and paid a civil demand, but no court.
