Hi, I am new to this forum, but was hoping to get some help or suggestions for me. Alright, one of my friends has a felony warrant for missing a court date, and the police in my town know our whole group of friends. The first time they pulled me over they had 6 or 7 squad cars that surrounded me and my friend. They ordered me to get out of the car and come talk to them. I got out and they kept asking where my friend who has the warrant is, I told them I don't know and they told me to pop my trunk because they "received a call from your buddy matt", saying that my friend with a warrant has been riding in my trunk all day.(I later figured out my friend matt never called them). So I popped it and showed him he was not in there. They told me that if I didn't tell them where my friend was hiding out, they were going to make it too expensive for me to live in this city.I told them I don't know again, and they sent me back to my car. Then they ordered my friend out of the car and gave him the same speech. As soon as we were back in the car one officer came up to the window and tried telling us that they were tracking phone numbers and if we had talked to them in the last 2 days, we were getting felonies. They would not tell us what for. This happened on saturday morning about 3am. They let us go and proceeded to follow us to the local Perkins, which is about 4 miles away, and when we got there 4 squad cars and 1 suv parked in the nearby businesses and watched us for about 30 mins. Then sunday night about midnight, I received 2 tickets on a traffic stop from one of the officers that pulled us over saturday morning. A loud exhaust, and a license plate light not working(we checked it as soon as they left and it worked, we took pictures). Then finally on monday at about noon on our way to work I get stopped again for not having seatbelts on. He saved us the tickets and told us to be on our way.(This was a different shift, so different cops).

This has happened to many of my friends and this is my third or fourth run-in with this officer. About 80% of the tickets I have are from him. I don't know what to do. He follows me whenever he sees me and finds a stupid reason to pull me over. Is there anything I can do about him? Also is there anything I can do about them telling us they were going to make it too expensive for us to live in this city, and being pulled over and ticketed the next two days?

If you don't like how they talk to you, then don't talk to them. That will keep things from getting too far out of hand. I think most police officers understand that some respect and common courtesy get much better results than intimidation.
You have the right to remain silent. Exercise it. It will piss them off.
