If I were to get pulled over by the police but I didn't have anything on me but they smell something like marijuana and they ask if they can search my car or they ask me to step out of the car, do I have to? Can I refuse their request and lock myself in the car and tell them to get a warrant? What is the best way to get out of a sticky situation like that? Please reply to my question because it will answer a lot of questions, thanks!

If police order you out of the car you need to comply with that (there case history on this), but you can refuse searches. If you exit your car be sure to roll up your windows and lock the door behind you.
You still may be subject to a pat search for weapons, or maybe even a more detailed search if they smelled the contraband on you, but by refusing consent to search you put the burden on them to do it right.

Be alert at all times, and avoid BREAKING society's laws!!!

If you just had to puff that old devil weed and travel in your car, take shower for your own sake.

Even if you don't take a shower, obey all traffic alws, and you won't get pulled over.

But, puffing devil weed and inhaling can impair yoru driving abilities.

You can be arrested and charged for "driving under the influence of devil weed".

So, just as they say "don't drink alcoholic beverages and drive", "don't inhale devil weed, pop pills, shoot stuff and drive"!!!

If you OBEY their laws, their armed constabulary won't be able to do much to harm you.

Never argue with armed people with or without badges.

Never argue about your rights at 3:00AM in an urban or rural setting with a law enforcement officer, or do so at 3:00PM.
