Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication poss of pot 18 yrs ago

I was busted when i was 18 yrs old in 1988,I would like to have the charge removed from my record so i can get federal aid for a student loan.what and if any steps can I do to get these charges removed from my record ?,less than a gram of pot

In many states you can get it out of your record provided you meet certain conditions. Such as only drug charge over or during a given period…..It varies from one state to another. The exact charge and type of disposition of the case not just the grams would determine if you can get it off your record. Just Google rules for drug expunctions with your states name. So the answer is; it can be done in many states but rules vary from on to the other.

The question is were you convicted or did you receive deferred adjudication?
