I was changed with possession of cocaine .. It was find in the car by a friend, was not my stuff ... but at the jail the police said to write a statement saying it was my stuff so that my friend wouldn't get in trouble cause he was on probation and we will not go upstairs!! Wat should i do???

Nothing.....only an idiot would take the rap for an idiot, genius, friend, or foe....

If it wasn't yours, you say nothing, do nothing, politely decline and then say, "I wish to remain silent. I'm innocent and would like to speak to a lawyer!"

Did you write out a confession admitting to possession? Understand that possession is NOT about ownership, it is about dominion and control. If the state can show that you knew about the drugs and could exercise control over it, then you can be found guilty. Even writing a statement saying the drugs belonged to your friend and how you knew the drugs belonged to your friend can be enough to get you charged and even convicted of possession!

In any event, you should speak with a criminal defense attorney if you are charged with a crime.

Well it happened in May but i just was in court a week or 2 ago nd got a public def but i don't no wat to do or how to bet the charge???!!

Your attorney will know what to do. And, it may not be possible to beat the charge ... particularly if you wrote a statement admitting to knowledge of the dope, or even actual possession. I suspect that a plea deal may be in your future.

If you do NOT do drugs, it's time to get new friends. If you DO use drugs, it's time to get clean and sober.

They tricked you into incriminating yourself!! You prob wont be able to beat this if you are a user ask for drug court so your record may be expunged.
