I am curious as to what constitutes "possession". I know of a student that drove his father's truck to school. In the back of his truck, was a cooler with some beer in it. The student has never been in trouble of any kind, on or off campus. He was not seen anywhere near the cooler, nor did he possess any alcohol in his backpack, on his person, locker, etc. Is this considered a discretionary matter, or is it absolute possession?

Thank you -

The way I see is your father give you the right to operate his vehicle therefore the car is in your possession . The beers in the cooler in the trunk of this car are in your possession.
