My jurisdiction is: Wisconsin
We have reason to believe my husband's ex-wife may have used her position with a Social Services agency to access personal information on myself, my husband, his mother, and her companion. I have contacted the agency she works for, asking them to look into this matter, and am awaiting the results of their inquiry. I have also contacted one of the credit reporting agencies to see if they have the ability to trace any inquiries into our credit information.
My questions are:
1. What type of recourse do we have if, indeed, she has used the Social Services agency network to acquire information on persons that have no dealings with this agency?
2. What can we do to document whatever information may have been accessed?
3. What can we do to protect ourselves if she has accessed sensitive personal information?
4. What can we do to put an end to more than 10 years of her harassment? (They have been divorced for almost 20 years, you would think it was time to move on...)
I appreciate any answers you can give me. Thanks!
