PLEASE HELP!!

I was planning to apply for naturalization, even filled out the whole packet, but when it comes to the question of moral character, I'm having trouble. I was cited for "flee on foot" a couple months back and my court date is in Aug 2008. This is my first ticket ever, never even gotten a speeding ticket before. I don't know what to do and what the results might be of this. First question, does anyone know what kind of misdeanor this falls under?
Secondly, what should I do about the citizenship form? Do I need to wait until after my court date and mail in the packet, or can I fill in the box "yes" and explain later what my outcome is? I want to send in my form as soon as possible.

ADVICE????
Also, I've been a permanent resident for 8 years...

THANKS SO MUCH!

Can you explain exactly how the incident happened.......it matters in order to determine what kind of offense it is.............

My friend and I were on campus that night on spring break. We were walking around and eventually stopped at our science building. We wondered if the room was going to be open, even though we knew it wasn't. We went around the whole building and tried the doors. Right when we were about to go home, the police came and scared as we were, we started running. Eventually we got caught and was cited for "flee on foot". We didn't break anything. We were just scared and ran because we knew we shouldn't have been on campus that late.

My court date is August 18 in Minneapolis,MN and I don't really know what to expect and what I will be charged with. But most importantly if I will be able to apply for US citizenship.
Thanks a lot!
