My son had to get a restraining order againt his ex-boyfriend for harassment and stalking...since the order has been in place the ex has taken images from my son's myspace page and posted them to his own myspace page....these pictures are of my family taken at family events at my home (including younger children that are under 18)...the ex is NOT in the pictures in question and some of the captions are deragatory. He has also posted a blog about my son and me, with threats and vulgar name calling among other things....Is it legal for him to do this?

Threats are no legal no. The pictures may well be legal. Contact the webmasters of these sites and request that the comments and picturtes be removed. Print any pages with threats or the like and take them to Police

It depends on what you consider "threats" to be. Usually they do not rise to the level of being criminal in a way that you will have much of a recourse.
The pictures were in public domain and he, I, or anyone else can copy them, paste them, post them, and do anything we want with them. If you don't want people to have access to them then you should not have them in public domain.
What you describe here may be frustrating, but is not necessarily illegal, and does not appear to violate any orders.
