I am power of attorney for my mother & my brother is Alternating Power of attorney . I live 100 miles away from my mother. If there is an alternatng Power of attorney, When does the alternating power of Attorney take effect? After the acting Power of Attorney is incapacitated ? Or can the Alternating Power of Attorney make financial decisions when I am not there.
My mother intended for only one of us to be power of attorney at a time. We got the Power of attorney papers threw Legalzoom.com. I hope someone can tell me while my mother is still able to change it if it is not as she wished.
