Prayer For Judgement??

I am 17 and got my first speeding ticket today.

64 in a 45...

My speedometer is broken (this is not an excuse) and I have heard that if I fix my speedometer within 30 days I can have the ticket dropped.

Would I just be better off with Prayer For Judement? What all does 'Prayer for Judement' mean and what are the 'rules'?

I have done several searches (google.com, etc.) on "Prayer for Judgement' and i haven't really gotten a good definition, or any details for that matter.

It is unlikely a broken speedometer will help with a 20 over ticket and may even result in an additional charge for defective equipment.

I believe NC is the only state that has PJC, it only helps with insurance points for one conviction per houshold per three years:

Be aware you are at risk of a licence suspension (more than 15 over and greater than 55).

If convicted, you will have a 45% insurance increase. A lawyer has the best chance of minimizing the increase and could save money in the long run.
