My friend bought a pre-owned car about a month ago and has just found out that it was in a wreck previous to her purchasing it. When she was looking at the vehicle before the purchase she asked if it had been in a wreck. The answer was no. I would like to know what her rights are in this situation.

That depends on a couple of details:

-did the seller know that it had been in an accident?
-did he deliberately say it had not been, to induce buyer's reliance and the sale?
-is there a written contract with any disclaimers or warranties?
-were any warranties orally given in absence of a written contract?
-is this fact material?
-who made the representation? Seller? Seller's agent? Someone else?

If seller intentionally misrepresented this fact, it could well be that buyer has a case for rescission of the contract.
