Hello all.......thanks for taking time to read and thanks also, in advance, for any advice offered.
I played with a bar band in Myrtle Beach, SC during 2006. The leader of the band asked for payments to help pay off the PA equipment we were using and I ended up contributing around $500.00. I've got receipts for most but not all of money.
Our last gig together was New Years Eve of 2006, and I went back home to VA; I no longer perform w/ the group althought the leader has reformed the group and resumed a fairly heavy gigging schedule. I've asked for my "PA" money back several times but it seems obvious that the band leader has no intention of reimbursing me (see his comments from emails he sent me).

Emails I sent on 1/19 1/23 of this year have gone unanswered.
Just wondering
**if I'll be able to recoup my PA investment
**will I be able to add expenses to my claim, if I sue, due to costs involved to drive to/from SC and VA, hiring a lawyer, etc........
** how will the court enforce payments (if I sue and win)....his only income, AFAIK, is self-employment (gigging with the band).
Thanks again,
Matt
