I recently took a drug screen for pre-employment with a large company.A few days later my sister-in-law called and told me I had failed my drugscreen due to marijauna. The company is yet to contact me about the screening. My uncle -in-law is employed by the same company. He is the person they went to initialy. He then called my sister-in -law. :mad:Is this illegal and do i have the right to a lawsuit.

What do you mean the company went to your uncle-in-law and what position does he hold with the employer? Provide moree deatils so a proper answer can be given.

The uncle-in-law is employed by the company in question. He is a supervisor,However he does not have anything to do with the hiring or firing of employees, nor should he have known the results of my screening.Even if he should have,he should not (as an employee of this company) have relayed the info. to my sister-in-law or anyone else for that matter.Like i said before the company nor the uncle has contacted me regarding the said screening.I have a good idea that th results were positive for marijauna, but still don't think that justifies the release of my personal info. to anyone.Everyone at this company must know because it wasn't even the recruiter that told the uncle, but just another employee.(his boss)
