I am in desperate need of help. I own my mobile home in a community mobile home park. I am being evicted for nonpayment of rent. my question is since the trailor belongs to me and there is no hold or anything on it can i sell the trailor to try topay my back rent. And when i had a gentleman come look at it to buy it, he went to the office to apply for the park and they told him that I could not sell my trailor because of my back rent and eviction notice. Can they legally tell someone else your personal information without your consent? If not, what can I do about this violation of my privacy!!!

please email me at stefc8106@yahoo.com
thank you i would appreciate any information that anyone can provide me with.

Even if your landlord had not told him that you were behind on payments and being evicted, he would have found out about your situation when researching the title of the property.

Selling a mobile without a place to put it greatly diminishes the value of the mobile home. It is much more difficult to sell a mobile home without a space or land to but it on. Pennies on the dollar.
The buyer has the right to know if there is no space with the mobile.

Seems to me that the Landlord did the possible buyer a favor. By the way evictions are matter of public record so there is no presumption of privacy. If it was indeed illegal to sell the home due to back rent etc then again this person(s) did the prospective buyer a favor
