I sold a truck to a kid about a week ago and now he is having problems with it. He is threating to come to my house and demand his money back for the vehicle. My question was I thought that all private party sales were "as is" in pennsylvania. Is that correct? Do I need to worry?

You might need to worry.
Generally, most private car sales are "as is".

Was the buyer a juvenile?
In other words, was your buyer not yet 18 years old?

Otherwise, your sale seems to be legal.

Caveat emptor...buyer beware.

Even if he does try to sue you, you should still be able to win. Just simply state that the truck was working fine when you sold it (assuming it was - don't lie in court) and then state that you have no way to know that the kid didn't start screwing around with it trying to modify it or make his own repairs and screwed it up himself, or drove in some abusive way, even driving over a bump the wrong way. In other words the truck was fine when you sold it and you have no control over what he did with it afterwards.

He would have the burden of proof that you knowingly sold him a bad truck
