what is the law and jurisdication for someone whom comes into a private community..doesn't live in the area...coping down everyones liscense plate number including going onto peoples property where their vehciles are backed in their driveways..when asked or approached acts as though he has the right to do what ever he wants and will only state that he was told by a police officer to collect plate numbers when he could check for any outstanding warrents and all he wants back is his shirt and cell phone..when asked if that happened in the area..states he can't say anything it would mess up the investigation...I have a right too know being he is on my property and invading my privacy as a citizen..states I would only ask if I knew something ...(turned it around) I personally believe he was up to no good..and lying...same fellow been in culdesac on several occasions in the last couple of months..counting the units..and or taking pictures of units..as he drives by...told him I was going to call the police states I wish you would ...ask for and gave me a supposedly police mans name..
I have never heard of such...and if I am not mistaken is a huge invasion of someones privacy as well as right to liberty....

Report all suspicious activity to your local law enforcement.

Confronting unknown people, especially unsavory, suspicious people can be hazardous to your health.

Call "911", report your observations, ask for police to respond, allow sworn law enforcement personnel to confront suspicious people.

This we did me and another lady in the condominium calling 911 that would be me the other lady called no emergent number..

By the time law enforcement arrived and circled the area..which wasn't too long after calling within 30 minutes at least..the guy was already gone...at least as far as we know..
Law enforcement waved ..
Didn't stop to update anyone
After reporting several individuals uneasy in the complexes..
Single ladies ..as well as several widows..in the culdesac..

Seem as though folks just blow things off..proably nothing was one response..

What do you mean by "private community"?

Is it an HOA? Is there a gate with a guard who has to identify and announce people coming in?

Or is there unguarded access to anybody walking or driving into the community? In other words, public streets in the community?

License plates are not private information - they are displayed in public for all to see. In many, if not all, states motor vehicle records are also public information.
